Madison Anne Hoff

Originally from the New England area, but located in nyc I am Madison Anne Hoff an apparel designer. Growing up I always had creative outlets in my life whether it was dance, music, or art and my grandma introduced me to sewing shortly after she realized I was creatively driven. My career in fashion started because of her. As a child, naive of what this would become I started making cheesy hair bows and purses to bring to the fashion show of the world, second grade. As time went on, I started designing my dance costumes, and as time went on started taking weekly trips to fabric stores for my next project. Stepping into the professional industry soon, I am aiming to push myself creatively and technically as a designer while extending myself into both men's and women’s wear. Starting off in educational steps through the apparel design program at Auburn University, my first mental challenge was comprehending what I wanted to bring into my creative persona as a new designer. Harris Reed, a London-based designer, became my inspiration in learning my personal design aesthetic. Reed had instilled his thought that there is “Transformative power of clothing and its correlation with identity and liberation.”  Within all creations and design processes, I aim to not only push myself but also bring in society and push them outside of their comfort zone with what they wear; with an inclusive range of inspiration. As a new generation stepping into the fashion industry, I hope to continue to improve the industry within creative, sustainable, and inclusive steps to create a better tomorrow for fashion.
